Loafalong is a William Hand Jr design built by Vincent Serio in Hampton Virginia offered at $27,000

Built in 1928 she is 40 feet long having a beam of 10 feet and 6 inch's with a draft of 3 feet. Her construction is juniper planking with batten seams and copper rivets over oak frames. Today she is ready to cruise after a long list of upgrades and repairs. Diesel powered by a Mercedes M80 she is economical to operate.

Recent repairs and upgrades include: Running gear: New SS prop shaft, vibration coupler damper, cutlass bearing, Re-conditioned propeller, re-bed and re-fasten shaft log box and strut. Hull: Re-fasten with 2,325 bronze screws, reef out all seams, chink in new cotton and caulk, bottom paint. Engine: New exhaust system with a custom copper riser, fiberglass elbow, hose, clamps. Removed heat exchanger cleaned out, flushed out engine block. A new raw water pump and water hose's, intake strainer were installed with a new alternator, fuel filter assembly, oil filter, oil, fuel filter, one injector. Electrical: 30 amp main distribution panel with transfer switch for inverter, 2000 watt inverter, three stage battery charger, 4D battery, 27 series battery and selector switch. Marine grade wire and outlets installed aft and forward cabins. New marina grade 12 volt wiring and fuse panel. Engine gauges, new 12 volt blower heating system plumbed to heat exchanger. Electronics: New Eclipse VHF radio, Garmin 441 map, Raytheon auto-tiller pilot, two flat screen TV's and antenna system, DVD player. Water System: 60 gallon plastic tank plumbed to three hand pump and sinks with pumps rebuilt (new leather and valves). Par II manual head with a Lectra San treatment system. Lighting: 12 volt system wired with marine grade wire, original bronze light fixture are rebuilt with new switch and screw base. Bilge Pumps: One Lovett 1200, one Rule 1100 and one original hand pump. Ground Tackle: One 25 Lb and one 35 Lb danforth anchor with short chain and 5/8 line, boarding transom ladder, 1/2 dock lines. Canvas: Full Sunbrella cockpit enclosure with roll up panels and plastic glass sides. Complete Sunbrella aft cabin cover, complete cockpit top and cabin side cover, forward hatch's and flag pole covers. Bedding: Twin aft mattress, pillows, sheets and covers with forward seat cushions and pillows. Galley: Original ice box and three burner stove, microwave. Heating, Air Conditioning: Force Ten Cozy cabin heater propane, cockpit heater, Kruzncool 6000 BTU portable AC. Life jackets, flares, horn, spot light. Also includes extra cedar wood cut to size for battens, butt blocks and frames with a selection of bronze screws and carriage bolts, paint, seam compound, cotton.
1990 restored 20 Foot Shamrock with Trailer

This is a restored vessel with a 302 Ford FWC engine. The heads were re-worked at 500 hours (now 725 hours). New manifolds and exhaust risers, new exhaust hose, new clamps, new exhaust tubes. New oil pan, new alternator, new raw water pump, new cooling hose's, converted to electronic ignition, new carburetor, new fuel line, new fuel filter water separator and shut off valves. New starter and cable ends and batteries. New fuel sending units, transom LED lights and cockpit LED lights. Running Gear is a Velvet Drive transmission with a new Nibral propeller, new cutlass bearing, Bennett Trim system with new pump and control valves. A new hydraulic steering system has replaced the old cable one. Two new auto/manual bilge pumps mid ship and aft with new bilge hose. It has a Garmin 441 GPS Depth and Map combo with a new VHF radio and antenna and a new am/fm marine radio and speakers. The seats were just reupholstered and new cockpit carpets installed with two new aft cabin curtains for both summer/winter. The seat folds down for a sleeper berth. The vessel has a full keel for stability and prop protection. With the trim system it plans at 13 knots with a wide open throttle speed of 32 knots. Cruise is 25 burning 5 GPH. The twin fuel tanks are 22 gallons each for a total of 40 gallons useable for a range of 180-200 miles. A great fishing boat.
